Eric Ersher

Founder & CEO and Member

Eric is Founder and CEO of Zoup! and has been with the company since its formation. From 1994 to 2000, Eric was an owner of Michigan Foods of Madison Heights, Michigan, which manufactured and distributed custom spice blends, pre-mixes and prepared soups to chain restaurant operators. Eric is responsible for strategic planning, concept evolution, quality and Franchise support. He also leads the company's staff in building and protecting the Zoup! brand and in shaping the company's culture.

Richard Simtob

Director & Partner

Richard has been a Partner at Zoup! since January 2010. Prior to joining Zoup! he was a Partner at Wireless Toyz of Farmington Hills, Michigan from January 2004 to July 2009. Richard worked with Eric in 2002 and was instrumental in helping Zoup! begin and grow its franchise program. Richard is responsible for finance, IT systems, franchise development and site selection negotiation.

Jason Valentine

Integrator & COO

Jason joined Zoup! in February 2018 as the company's integrator and COO. From 2013 to 2018, he was Vice President of Operations for Cousins Subs, a Milwaukee, WI based fast-casual deli chain with more than 100 units. Jason oversees the company's day-to-day operations, creates clarity and supports all teams and accountabilities.

Richard E. Zimmer

Director of Franchise Development and Real Estate

Richard has been in franchise development for Zoup! since December 2006. Before joining Zoup!, he was in franchise development for PJE Enterprises, Fantastic Sams Master Franchisee, of Plymouth, Michigan. Richard has also been a licensed commercial real estate agent since July 2002. Richard assists our Franchisees in the franchise qualification process and site selection in local markets.

Robert Kirma

Design & Construction

Robert has been Director of Design & Construction for Zoup! since January 2009. From July 2005 to December 2008, Robert was Vice President of Design & Construction for Wireless Toyz in Farmington Hills, Michigan. From September 1998 to July 2005, he was General Manager of G.A.V. & Associates, Inc., an architectural firm in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Robert manages the Z! Track pre-opening process, including design and construction support

Scott Day

Director of Finance & Administration

Scott joined Zoup! in October 2014. As a graduate of Ferris State University, Scott earned a Bachelors of Science in Accounting, and a Bachelors of Science in Computer Information Systems. Scott is also a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Michigan. Scott started his career as a Consultant for Deloitte & Touche and has spent the later part of his career developing and growing middle market businesses. Scott’s responsibilities include finance, distribution and supply management, technology and assisting with quality and menu development.

Ed Andrews

Director of Technology

Ed has served as Director of Technology for Zoup! since September 2015. From 2008 to 2015, he was the IT Director for Austin Benefits Group of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. From 1998 to 2008, Ed worked for Crosswinds Communities, Inc. of Novi, Michigan in several technology roles, including Vice President of Information Technology. Ed is responsible for the overall vision, development and implementation of Zoup! technology.

Kim Jensen-Pitts

Director of Marketing, Consultant

Kim Jensen-Pitts has served as the Director of Marketing for Zoup! since April 2017, with responsibilities for brand marketing strategy and execution, creative development and franchise development marketing. Kim has more than 20 years of experience in the retail and restaurant industry, including work in the fast food, family dining, casual dining, specialty retail and packaged goods segments for both corporate and privately-held businesses.
