What are the qualifications I need to become a successful Zoup! Franchisee?

We are looking for people who have a passion for the Zoup! brand and culture, exceptional customer service, leading a team and want to be a part of their community.

What investment is required?

Single Unit
Minimum of $150,000 in liquid cash and a $500,000 net worth.
Initial Investment: $357,900 – $650,500

Multi-Unit
Minimum of $300,000 in liquid cash and a 1 million dollar net worth.
Initial Investment: $357,900 – $650,500 (per unit)

Franchise Fee

The fee for an initial single franchise location is $39,900. There is also a Multi-Unit program. For each additional location there is a $15,000 – $20,000 per unit fee depending on the number of units to be developed.

How much money can I expect to Make?

In 2018, the top 25% of Zoup! locations did $876,261 in gross sales. Profitability varies depending upon a number of factors, including: sales; labor and food costs; location; occupancy; and operating costs. Also, on your ability to manage and lead the business. In our FDD (Franchise Disclosure Document) you will receive average sales figures for current Zoup! locations. Food and labor costs for the corporate-owned and operated Zoup! locations also are included.

Will Zoup! Provide a Location or Help Me Identify One?

Zoup! will direct you to an approved real estate broker who is familiar with your market. You and the broker will explore the market and do an analysis of the best sites using tools provided for your site selection process. You will submit your favorite sites for approval and our team will review the locations to determine whether they meet Zoup! standards.

What is the square footage you look for?

Typically a Zoup! Eatery is between 1,800-2,100 square feet.

Who Will Design and Build My Units?

The Zoup! in-house design team will lay out your store and work with our national architect to create a detailed set of plans. The plans are then sent out to bid by local contractors of your choice.

Once I am Awarded a Zoup! Franchise, How Long Does it Take to Open?

The most valuable time period is selecting a site and negotiating a lease. Once in possession, build out averages 4-6 months.

How many employees will I need?

Our eateries employ 10-14 part-time employees.

Does Zoup! Provide All Food Products to its Franchise Owners?

Zoup! has exclusive distribution contracted for its products and will help arrange for additional distribution as necessary.

What Royalty Does Zoup! Charge?

Zoup!’s weekly royalty is 6% of gross sales, which covers support infrastructure, training, and routine visits to your store.

Is There a Marketing/Advertising Fee?

Your contribution to the National Brand Marketing Fund is 2% of gross sales paid on a weekly basis. In addition, you are required to pay 0.5% of gross sales for the Training and Customer Service Fee.
