The famous Soup Nazi failed to conquer Downtown Columbus, but his departure isn't stopping another soup shop from giving the locale a whirl.
Zoup! (complete with exclamation point) is scheduled to make its Ohio debut this week in the Huntington Center at 41 S. High St. The menu is built around soups ranging from traditional favorites such as chili to more exotic recipes that involve combinations of collard greens and barley.
Beyond the mainstay, there are other offerings (also involving z's and exclamation points). The eatery serves "greenz!" such as Greek and Cobb salads and "sandwichz!" made with deli meat and grilled chicken. The chain pledges to provide a diverse selection of options (vegetarian, dairy-free, etc.) that will suit niche dining demands.
Hours of operation are 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays.
